The Alumeco Group announces new CEO

After more than 35 years with Alumeco, of which 18 years in the Executive Management and recent 8 years as CEO, Jan Berthel has decided to step down as CEO of the Alumeco Group as of February 1st, 2019.

We are sad that Jan Berthel is leaving Alumeco, do however fully respect his decision. During many years with the company, he has been spearheading the imposing development that has transformed Alumeco into a large scale and successful global corporation. Jan is highly appreciated and valued for his devoted work and commitment, and we wish him all the best and good luck for the future.

The Board of Directors has appointed Per Thanning Johansen as new CEO of the Alumeco Group as of February 1st, 2019.

Per Thanning Johansen (aged 54) will be leaving BLÜCHER Metal A/S in Vildbjerg close to Herning, where he has held the position of VP Global Drains and CEO. He has a long track record from international companies and brings deep knowledge and experience in management, international sales and business development. With Per as new CEO of the Alumeco Group, we will have a strong, dedicated and internationally oriented leader, who will safeguard Alumeco’s continued development and competitiveness.

We are delighted to welcome Per and look forward to leading the Alumeco Group into the future with Per at the helm.
